    Dan Pink, Dave Norton to Keynote 2012 Mission Driven Management Summit

    WASHINGTON, DC, Feb, 03, 2012 -- Bestselling authors and strategy gurus Dan Pink and Dave Norton will headline a schedule of world-class strategy and performance management thought leaders at the 2012 Mission-Driven Management Summit on March 6-8 at the National Press Club in Washington, DC.

    Dave Norton, author of Balanced Scorecard: The Measures that Drive Performance and The Execution Premium, will kick off the conference on March 7th with a keynote on “Creating an Execution Premium with Mission Organizations.” His presentation will be followed by best practice case studies from Hall of Fame organizations like the Hillside Family of Agencies and the Canadian Federal Government.

    Concurrent afternoon sessions will include tracks on Driving Results and Transparency—featuring Charity Navigator, ASME, and the Citi Performing Arts Center—as well as GPRA Modernization & Performance Management at which the U.S. Office of Management & Budget, Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the Federal Aviation Administration will speak.

    Dan Pink, author of Drive and A Whole New Mind will wrap up the first conference day with a discussion on creating Autonomy, Mastery, and Purpose in the Mission-Drive Sector. Immediately following Dan Pink’s presentation, delegates will get an opportunity to meet Dan Pink and Dave Norton at an exclusive book signing reception.

    Concurrent sessions during the second day of the event feature BoardSource, Rare Conservation, and the Southwest Alabama Workforce Development Council discussing “Good Governance as a Strategic Asset,” while the second track will include a panel discussion of “Transforming Regional Government” by the Maryland State Government, the Rochester Genesee Regional Transit Authority, and the City of Durham, NC. The second day will conclude with two final best practice case studies by the U.S. Treasury and Folkh?lsan.

    Overall, there will be four Balanced Scorecard Hall of Fame presentations: Boys and Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico, Hillside Family of Agencies, Folkh?lsan, and Citi Performing Arts Center. The conference will also feature a workshop day, where attendees can learn about the Balanced Scorecard, Strategy-Focused Organization, Risk Management, and Strategy Reporting.
